Ask The Denturist: Volume 1
Welcome to the Natural Dentures & Implant Center “Ask The Denturist” Q & A series where we answer the most frequently asked questions about dentures and oral health. Today’s question is commonly asked by patients who are curious about whether dentures are right for them and steps a Denturist should take prior to recommending a course of action.
Q. What should I expect on my first visit to the Denturist?
A. Your Denturist’s goal during the first visit is to assess your condition to see if you’re a good candidate for dentures and give you a reasonable expectation of the function, appearance and cost of those dentures. The Denturist will perform an examination of your mouth as well as a general health assessment. They will ask if you’re under a Physician’s care or if you have any health conditions or allergies that may affect the denture process. Your information will not be shared with anyone and is taken in the strictest confidence. After the examination, the Denturist will give you a detailed overview of the results you can expect from new dentures, including an approximate cost.
